Railblaze ("the App") is a transit application designed to help users navigate the New York City rail system. Protecting your privacy is important, and the App is designed to collect as little information as possible.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Information We Collect

Railblaze is designed so that most functionality works entirely on your device without transmitting personal data.

Location Data

Railblaze may access your device's location in order to display nearby stations and estimate distances.

• Location data is processed entirely on your device
• Location data is not transmitted to Railblaze servers
• Location data is not stored by Railblaze
• Location data is not shared with third parties

You may disable location access at any time through your device's system settings.

Favorites and Preferences

Railblaze allows you to save favorite stations and app preferences.

• Favorites and preferences are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults
• If iCloud syncing is enabled on your device, these favorites may sync between your devices through Apple's iCloud services
• Railblaze does not store this information on its own servers

Push Notifications and Live Activity Updates

Railblaze may send push notifications and Live Activity updates.

To enable this functionality:

• Your device provides a push notification device token
• This token is transmitted to the Railblaze notification server

Important details:

• The token does not identify you personally
• It is not linked to your identity
• It is used only for sending notifications and Live Activity updates
• It is not shared with third parties

In-App Purchases

Railblaze may offer optional in-app purchases.

All purchases are processed through Apple's StoreKit system.

• Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple
• Railblaze does not receive, process, or store payment information such as credit card numbers or billing details

Information We Do Not Collect

Railblaze does not collect or store:

• Names
• Email addresses
• User accounts
• Phone numbers
• Payment information
• Precise location history

The App does not require accounts or logins.

Analytics and Tracking

Railblaze does not use analytics services or tracking SDKs.

Specifically:

• No third-party analytics platforms
• No advertising SDKs
• No cross-app tracking
• No behavioral profiling

Third-Party Data Sharing

Railblaze does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.

The App also does not include advertising networks or external tracking technologies.

Data Security

Because Railblaze stores minimal information and most data remains on your device, exposure risk is limited.

Any infrastructure used for push notifications is protected using standard industry security practices.

Children's Privacy

Railblaze does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the App does not collect personal data or require accounts, it is suitable for general audiences.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the App or its features. Updates will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date.
